Playdate With The Bears

June 14, 2016

Have you heard about Roaster and Bear Café & Resto? Yes, yes! This is the hippest café in Yogyakarta at the moment. It is located in Harper Hotel, Jl. Mangkubumi. Every youngster in Yogyakarta must have known or at least heard about this place. Other than serving super tasty food (make sure you try the Mac & Cheese!), they also have an interesting mix of cute and classy interior design. All the walls are painted with big pictures of bears and cartoons. They have wooden tables and chairs completed with cute cushions all over the place and that is why people like to hang around for hours in this cute café. And this is everyone’s favorite part: they have a lot of giant teddy bears! Customers are allowed to take photos and hug these teddy bears. Cuteness overload!

And of course, for a lovely night out with the girls and the teddy bears, I always choose to wear comfy outfit. This oversized sweater is just perfect (and it is in pink, my fav color!). I pair it with skinny jeans and my Taylor Grey, and voila! Every eye goes to the shoes! <3 (seriously, everyone keeps staring at my shoes!)

Balairung, The Icon of Jogja's Students

June 07, 2016

All the people in Yogyakarta must be very familiar with this old majestic building. Yes, it is Gedung Rektorat! It is located in Universitas Gadjah Mada, the oldest university in Indonesia. They used to use this building for Economic’s classes back in the 80’s, but now they use this building for administration staff, financial staff, etc. Every weekend, many people come to this building to do morning walks, ride their bikes, and many student organizations that take photos of their members in front of this building.

Gedung Rektorat or what they called as ‘Balairung’ is one of the most iconic building, especially for Yogyakarta’s students. And it means a lot to me too! I always remember how often I come to Balairung to meet up with friends, to manage some Students Scientific Projects, to do some sports, and many other things. And I think all the students of Universitas Gadjah Mada feel the same, Balairung means a lot to all of us. It’s not just a building, it’s a feeling!

For my daily wear to the campus, I usually wear preppy-casual and of course, we can’t wear t-shirts or jeans to the campus. So I chose to wear this lace white shirt and blue cropped pants. To complete the look and give some colors, I added some colorful pins and my SATRIANI DENIM to match my campus-day outfit. I love these shoes so much! A lil touch of Boho mixed with denim, always be my favorite!

Good Food, Good Vibes

June 02, 2016

If you love culinary and are in search of good food from an expert chef, you should come visit The White Paal! It is located in Jl. Diponegoro/31 Yogyakarta. It’s a little cute restaurant in the center of Yogyakarta city, near Tugu Jogja. What makes it special is all the food comes from a famous Masterchef Indonesia Winner, Chef Lucky! And they also offer affordable price so you can get food with great quality and great taste without having to spend too much money.

The White Paal area is divided into 2 areas, indoor and semi-outdoor, and both are in cute and colorful designs. They have colorful chairs and also cartoon-illustrated walls, and completed with many plants to give a fresh feel. I personally love the outdoor area but it’s a lil' bit hot so I decided to have a table in the indoor area. The ambience is so nice and the service is good too. I visited The White Paal with my friend so we could order different food. I tried their signature dish, Thai Slider, and my friend order their Kwetiaw Goreng Penang. They both taste oh-so-delicious! The beef in Thai Slider is tender and the sauce is sour & spicy. I personally recommend you to try the Thai Slider if you visit The White Paal!
